I work with JavaScript and CSS, and use a wide variety of front-end platforms, including Jamstack, React, Wordpress and Squarespace. In particular I am interested in building functional web apps to use as prototypes and market research tools.

I managed and lead the digital marketing team responsible for generating qualified leads for HealthEngine's SaaS products. My day-to-day role included managing six direct reports, analysis of marketing performance data, and reporting of marketing funnel performance. I also performed marketing operations for the team, including web development and maintenance, website A/B testing, copywriting and copy editing, HTML email development and sends, marketing automation logic and programs (using Pardot), CRM automation and data quality assurance (Salesforce). We marketed our SaaS products to GP, Dental, Allied Health and Specialist practices.

Working in the SaaS side of HealthEngine as a digital marketer. Our aim was to help medical practices better connect to their patients. I created a blog and social media presence, then used those channels for digital marketing campaigns focused on high quality, brand-aligned copywriting. The campaigns centred around creating interesting and valuable content for medical professionals looking to improve their practice. My role also included Marketing Operations, such as web development and maintenance, digital marketing campaign implementation, website A/B testing, HTML email development and sends.

My focus was helping startups and small businesses build functional and beautiful minimum viable products (MVPs). I helped my clients to help quickly test the assumptions they had about their target markets via digital marketing campaigns. It goes without saying that you can't be a front end developer these days without loving Sketch, CSS preprocessors and JavaScript frameworks. Which I do. My specialty is creating static websites using Jekyll, which can be hosted for free on GitHub pages. For MVPs I like to build prototypes using Google’s Firebase, which is a powerful yet simple real-time database. Although sometimes Wordpress works just fine too! During this time I spent most of 2016 working as the Head of Product for Uproute, a travel experience sharing startup. I worked with the founder Marla to help turn her vision into reality.

Vocus Upstart is one of Western Australia's best startup accelerators. My role was to run 2-3 workshops a week on the topics such as: * Starting a new company* Digital marketing * Web and product development * Pitching* Customer research and development* Fundraising for startups* Accounting and legal basics for new companiesThe sessions ranged from educational to mentoring to coaching. Each week I reported the progress of each company back to the head of the accelerator and to the lead mentor. The 2016 cohort was seven startups who had each received $40,000 investment.

Saberr was born in May 2012 with a mission to radically improve the way teams work together. We built an algorithm that helps organisations build high performance teams based on team dynamic and interpersonal relationships. In building the company we followed the most typical journey a digital enterprise startup can imagine: We started with a cool idea for some tech — an algorithm that predicted the performance of teams based on the team dynamics. We left university and moved into my parents' garage. We worked all night. We raised a small funding round. We got our first clients. We were accepted into Seedcamp, Europe's best accelerator. We built a team of talented, generous, and hard-working people. We hired someone with more experience to be our CEO. We raised a bigger round from a syndicate of great angels. It was an amazing few years! By the time I left the team was 9 people and growing. I've been involved in anything and everything you can imagine happening in a startup; including three funding rounds, a stint in a tech accelerator (Seedcamp), hiring early staff, and many, many, many product releases. I left Saberr after nearly three years to follow a dream of living in Australia. Today Saberr is still run by my cofounder Alistair, and has been through two more funding rounds, expanded the team, and many, many, many more product releases!
