Sam Merrin has been involved with ancient art his entire life. As a child, he frequently visited his father’s gallery and worked there over many summer vacations. Sam was fascinated by the beauty and telling history of the ancient works. Inspired, he received a BA from Tufts University, worked at The Cloisters, and interned at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.Today, Sam is asked to give assessments of authenticity and value on major pre-Columbian and other ancient works for museum exhibitions, auction houses, dealers and other institutions.Specialties: Pre-Columbian art, Near Eastern art, ancient Egyptian art, ancient Roman art, ancient Greek art
