• As an internal AWS Cloud consultant, I work with CIO/CTO/CSO to lead multiple cloud projects: Hybrid cloud, IoT, Security compliance, cost reduction, and Electronic Medical Record data exchange.• Architect database infrastructure for Breg’s Commercial Software department: design and develop solutions using microservices architecture and the latest AWS data platform technologies• Managed AWS Cloud Infrastructure, including data tier, networking, and security. Reviewed AWS cost usage, reduce and automate cost reduction process - lowered Breg’s AWS operation cost by half in 2019

• Designed architecture and oversaw database infrastructure for Operations Software department: design, develop, deploy and upgrade software system modules• Managed over 100 SQL DB instances: local enterprise data warehouse, central DB servers, local station SQL express instances, and remote/contract manufacturers’ DB servers• Provided 24/7 DBA support to Dexcom’s manufacturing process: remote site data integration; local ETL/data sync between OLTP and OLAP; high-performance local stations data collection; database maintenance monitoring and tuning; system upgrade and patching; Dexcom DB upgrades • Responsible for daily ETL processes using SSIS data pipeline to sync data between 100+ local testing stations and the centralized Manufacturing DB for all Dexcom Sensors, Transmitters and Receiver units• Worked with Document Control and QA to ensure DB systems meet FDA class 3 compliant

• Managed over 1000 large databases across 50+ geographically distributed enterprise-class MS SQL servers with full SSD SAN storage backend. Some VLDBs have 16+ billion rows with size to 5 TB. Some SQL instances had transaction volume over 10,000 batch request/sec• Provided 24/7 DBA support to Rockstar’s online division - Social Club Service supports over millions of concurrent online players globally including gameplay, profiles update, authentication, leaderboards, match-making, and user content upload and download • Developed, monitored, and optimized daily ETL processes using SSIS to extract data from 100 TB HP Vertica system to refresh 10 TB SQL DB for BI teams’ daily data consumption• Developed a new high volume data pump pipeline to extract MS SQL data using BCP/SSIS to produce data exchange packages to feed Hadoop and Vertica data platforms• Developed an automatic data sync process to sync all game clients’ DB tables with SSDT • Mentored developers on advanced database programming, reviewed and enhanced all stored procedures performance before weekly production deployment
