As a Business Development Associate at Gallagher, I help businesses mitigate their own risks through tailored insurance solutions, that protect their most valuable assets. As a commercial insurance broker, I have a distinct passion for understanding the unique demands of my clients. I pride myself on implementing customised policies that help businesses achieve their financial goals and improve their operational needs. I have been able to utilise my Business & Management degree which I obtained a first class degree to further help navigate my clients needs. During my time at Durham University, I completed my dissertation, studying the economic benefits of hosting a mega sporting event with a particular focus on the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Qatar looked to diversify their economy away from natural resources but also use soft power, in an attempt to attract FDI and tourists to the country. From a non-academic perspective, I also captained Durham University's UCCE Cricket Team. My proudest sporting achievements are scoring a century for Lancashire 2nd XI against Hampshire in 2018 and being awarded the Cheshire Premier League Cricketer of the Year in 2022 and 2023. My background in sport has developed my time management, problem solving, communication and leadership skills; qualities that I have applied to my everyday work at Gallagher.
