I took a lead role in SenateSHJ’s digital practice and was a key member of its busy public sector practice for five years.I used my strong understanding of digital media, online community management, content curation, social media strategy and risk analysis, and helped public and private sector clients engage more meaningfully with their stakeholders in a digital environment.I developed communications and stakeholder engagement strategy, worked on social marketing behaviour change programmes and engaged frequently with the media on behalf of my diverse client base. In 2013 and 2015 I worked on high-profile crisis management programmes in the Public Sector. During my time at SenateSHJ I was fortunate to work with the Ministry for Primary Industries, ACC, the New Zealand Transport Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Payments NZ, Stand Children's Services, BP, WorkSafe NZ, Family Planning NZ, Google and a range of others.

During my time as a senior communications advisor at DBH (now part of the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment) I developed a sound knowledge of public policy and the machinery of government. I managed several high-profile issues as communications account manager to the Service Delivery branch and provided communications counsel to the Deputy Chief Executive.
