Compliance Specialist
CurrentLead and support audits, reviews, and assessments of policies, processes, controls, risk, regulations, operations and plan rules. Perform regular reviews of process documentation to ensure compliance with federal regulations, organizational policies, and established procedures. • Conduct audits of processes, policies, controls and functions to determine plan and regulatory compliance and identify long-term solutions to minimize risk of non-compliance; document and report findings and improvement opportunities. • Prepare and present reports for organization managers, directors, and senior leaders.• Manage the tracking and reporting of organization-wide correction plan progress. • Identify compliance requirements for plan changes, regulatory developments and changes to tax and benefit laws; work with internal and external legal .• Support others with research, analysis and resolution assessment. • Manage participant and plan compliance issues such as claims, appeals, special requests, attorney correspondence, and participant account corrections. • Prepare and present training for staff members of all levels regarding compliance and organization processes, changes, and initiatives.• Review and assess communications, administration practices and procedures for compliance with plan provisions, federal and state tax laws and other regulatory reporting and testing • Train and mentor new Compliance team members.
