I am currently employed at Aerodrome Management Services as a Civil Engineer designing Aerodrome pavements and drainage infrastructure. My role includes pavement investigations and design of new and existing airports. I undertake and coordinate geotechnical sampling and evaluation of test results to optimize pavement composition to meet our clients operational needs. I possess experienced project management skills and construction experience to deliver projects of various size ($100K-$6M) on time and within budget to required standards and clients expectations. My previous employment was with the City of Kwinana as the Design/Project Engineer in the Engineering Services Directorate where I managed the City’s major civil projects, the engineering design program, capital budget and coordinated and supervised the design team. I have 16 years of Local Government and a total of 20 years of Civil Engineering experience, which incorporates project management, supervision, design, traffic, construction, and superintendent roles. I have an excellent knowledge of pavement (roads and airports) and drainage design requirements, projects management and asset management and maintenance practices. I have personally developed the scope, prepared design drawings and specifications for tender documentation for the delivery of major projects including dual carriageways, road realignments and intersection upgrades. I possess developed Civil Engineering skills, am very experienced in the design of Local Government roads and drainage infrastructure, and understand the construction aspect and constraints encountered on projects. I am familiar and practiced using PMBOK principles and techniques. I have extensive experience in both Brown field and Greenfield civil engineering projects covering design, financial monitoring and reporting, construction and project management having held roles on projects such as project engineer/manager, superintendent and construction supervisor. I have developed excellent negotiation skills due to extensive consultation experience with residents, community groups, developers, service providers and internal departments and have a good understanding of each key stakeholders expectations, requirements and standards. I have extensive experience in dealing with state government departments including Main Roads WA, Water Corporation, Telstra, Western Power and Gas providers relating to service relocations, approvals and funding on projects I have designed or managed.
