Sam is a chartered professional with over 18 years’ experience in the contaminated land sector working for a range of clients including public sector clients, private sector developers, construction contractors and industrial operators. Through his experience working in the UK and abroad Sam has accumulated extensive experience working within and coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver contaminated land and civils projects. Responsible for growing the business and managing all operations. The team grew from 2 - 5 while I was in role. Services include remedial options analysis, soil and groundwater remediation (focusing on bioremediation and techniques which minimise environmental impact), and oil spill response. A significant proportion of my time was spent marketing (growing social media), completing PQQs and tenders, maintaining our ISO systems, and researching the latest developments in the environment industry.

The role involved helping set up the first office in Scotland, moving on to servicing clients in the oil spill response industry.Daily tasks included project management, site assessment, site investigation, options appraisals, remediation works, monitoring and reporting. The role evolved in to managing the offices invoicing, managing staff, and liasing with clients.
