Since graduating from Augsburg University in 2022 with a degree in History and a minor in Psychology, I have embarked on a career in the mental health and addiction recovery fields. After enrolling in Hazelden's Graduate Program in Addiction Studies, I began my professional journey as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist at Kyros, where I had the opportunity to directly support individuals on their path to recovery.Driven by a passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality service, I quickly advanced to the role of Team Lead. In this position, I played a pivotal role in building the Peer Recovery Specialist program at the Salvation Army Addiction Rehabilitation Center in downtown Minneapolis. I managed four Recovery Community Organizations across the Twin Cities, ensuring compliance, maintaining quality service standards, and driving successful recovery initiatives. This experience sharpened my leadership skills and deepened my understanding of the importance of compliance and high-quality service delivery.As my leadership experience grew, I transitioned to Onboarding Supervisor, overseeing up to 65 Certified Peer Recovery Specialists. I conducted weekly group supervisions for 10-30 team members and provided individualized support to ensure their success. I was instrumental in fostering a collaborative, compliant, and client-centered environment, ensuring both staff development and positive client outcomes.Most recently, I served as a Quality Assurance Analyst, where I took on more complex responsibilities, including managing weekly audits, addressing reported concerns, and improving auditing systems and policies. I helped enhance and reshape auditing processes, ensuring the company operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.I am deeply committed to improving processes, leading teams, and maintaining the highest quality of service. As I work toward completing my graduate program and achieving dual licensure as a counselor, I am excited to bring my experience and skills to a new opportunity where I can continue to drive positive change in the mental health and recovery fields.
