Being able to recognize opportunities, think out of the box and being prepared to take risks are the foundations of innovation. These are skills which are taught in the BSc Science, Business and Innovation, the study that I currently follow. The study focuses on the technical, economic and social-cultural aspects of new products or processes, and as a student you are taught to combine and apply these aspects. SBI focusses on innovations within the two sectors ‘sustainability & energy’ and ‘life & health’.My interests lie in the sustainability & energy department. The idea of contributing to a greener planet has always appealed to me, but in order to achieve that I think it’s important to learn about more than just the natural sciences. This is ultimately the reason I chose to study SBI, because it combines all the necessary angles to achieve sustainability.
