I will always be a lifelong learner. Inside and outside the classroom, I take time to ask questions and learn more about things that matter: What does ethics in the corporate world look like? How can philosophy help us engage with each other outside academia? What makes a great business? What makes a good friend?I've had the distinct pleasure of working closely with the Governor's Chief Transformation Officer as we analysed government agencies to pinpoint opportunities for greater efficiency, and I am currently studying at the University of Oxford, reading everything from Plato's Republic to the ins and outs of Corporate Finance. It is my firm belief that any analyst worth his salt should have not only a grasp of the business world, but also the wider world around him. As a great manager once said, "People will never go out of business."In that vein, I'm the only college student I know with a few hundred books in his room and a paper subscription to the Wall Street Journal, delivered six days a week. At the end of the day, businesses are built, staffed, and managed by people, and as long as that is the case, curiosity and passion will be in high demand. But, even if those traits ever fall out of style, I'll still read whatever I can my hands on.
