Hello there, my name is Samuel and I am currently looking for employment in an Environmental-related field. I graduated from SUNY Potsdam in 2021 with a major and minor in Environmental Studies and Wilderness Ed. I worked an internship monitoring invasive species of purple loosestrife and recorded data through ArcGIS before obtaining a position with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe as their Pesticide Technician and Beekeeper. At that position I received many certifications/trainings such as Game of Logging 1/2, EPA private applicator certification in Indian Country, and much more. I held numerous workshops for beekeepers, IPM methods, and pest control. I also worked with invasive insects and plants through pest detection surveys, mapping data through ArcGIS, and creating databases for other programs to utilize for Silviculture work. I provided assistance to community members taking pests out of their homes, applying safe pesticides, and keeping greenhouses/farm areas safer. I am 24 years of age and have great physical strength for any labor intensive duties, a great attitude, and willingness to learn.
