- Researching housing, economic development, and immigrant issues affecting Hispanic Minnesotans- Liaison for Freedom to Drive, a coalition working to extend Minnesota drivers’ licenses to immigrants: tracking legislation, meeting with coalition leaders, and voicing concerns to legislators

- Researching home-building & single family rental industries for local nonprofits working on affordable housing initiatives- Spanish-English interpreting via Zoom for presentations and meetings, including a meeting with MN Department of Labor & Industry officials

- Public Policy Assistant (Sep 2018-Aug 2019): advocated for state provider tax extension through This Is Medicaid coalition; studied public charge changes and wrote Portico’s public comment; analyzed hospital financial assistance program policies for internal use; planned census outreach events- Care Coordinator (Feb 2018-Sep 2018): managed over 500 Coverage Program participants; explained benefits to participants and medical providers; troubleshot billing and provider issues- Special Project Coordinator (Jul 2017-Feb 2018): interviewed Portico clients to better understand the health care realities and Portico’s impact; organized a nutrition class series with a nutrition educator for Portico clients; researched and planned an advisory circle of Spanish-speaking clients- MNsure navigation: screened people for public health care program eligibility and assisted those eligible in applying for and renewing health coverage

- Community forums & meetings: organized, publicized, facilitated and interpreted at community forums on public charge rule changes, know your rights for immigrants, and 2020 Census- Financial management: prepared Form 990 and other financial documents with organizational accountant; collected documentation and synthesized organizational work for grant reports

- Organized and facilitated restorative justice circles for diversion program participants- Communicated and met with law enforcement, court, and community partners to build and strengthen collaboration, train them on restorative diversion program process, and report outcomes

- Taught English course for beginners certified by the Nicaraguan technical institute- Organized and facilitated popular education formation workshops for scholarship recipients, gender equity workshops for men’s and youth groups, and field trips for urban youth to connect with rural peers and learn about rural and environmental issues
