About Sam Flowers
I have worked in education for most of the last eight years, as a tutor, student support, ESL and musical theatre teacher. My experience also spans the tertiary, arts, construction, hospitality and retail sectors. I have primarily worked part-time to support my full-time studies, fund an overseas working holiday, and then to supplement my brief career as a Musical Theatre Performer. After a serious accident, I have redirected my focus to supporting community, with a longstanding interest in environmental, climate change, housing and welfare policy. Most recently, I worked as a Social Media Coordinator on a local political campaign, where I leverage my communication skills to raise awareness and mobilize action on environmental and social justice issues. I created and managed online campaigns, produced and curated content, and monitored and evaluated the impact of our digital platforms.I am currently seeking employment that will assist me to develop skills in community and public development, policy and governance. I am also open to positions coordinating social media or communications for social impact initiatives, and governance or production roles within the Arts sector.
Listed skills include Microsoft Office, Customer Service, Leadership, Microsoft Word, and 6 others.

This was using very limited resources and a team of all volunteers.

I am extremely passionate about getting to know students and providing vital academic support which encourages them to feel confident about their studies and the attainability of their career aspirations. As this business was completely self-managed, it required excellent communication and organisation (planning lessons, developing resources, scheduling students, emailing teachers and parents). By developing a positive reputation and delivering successful outcomes for students, I was able to grow my clientele to its full capacity, allowing me to partner with another tutor to take on more clients.
