I’m 25 and grew up in San Jose, CA. I spent the last summer working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at a local nursing home. I really enjoyed the experience of working with patients and building relationships with them. I also did some research on campus on energy transfers between colliding molecules. For fun, I love to read, play piano, and play sports, especially soccer. I also recently ran a Spartan race. I especially love to try new things and meet new people. Probably because I spent two years on a proselytizing mission for my church in southern Brazil. I loved getting to know the people and being immersed in a different culture. I had a fantastic experience there and learned a lot about the health care needs of other counties. I believe that these experiences have prepared me to be a contributing student as I continue on to medical school.
