I am an undergraduate student obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Upon completion of this degree, I will be attending law school. I have worked at McNeese State University since arriving in 2020. My on-campus employment included building a complete social media profile for the Recreation Complex which thrives today. I completely built their Instagram and Facebook accounts to have hundreds of followers and to include content that is engaging to students and is informational. Also, I have been involved in the Student Government Association of which I am now President. I have completed numerous multi-thousand-dollar projects and was elected to serve as the Student Board Member of the Louisiana Board of Regents. During the Summer of 2022, I worked as a Louisiana Governor’s Fellow within the LA Division of Administration (DOA), Office of Broadband Connectivity and Development. I assisted in bringing awareness to the Granting Unserved Municipalities Broadband Opportunities (GUMBO) Grant program and was exposed to the management principles of our state offices while directly working under DOA Commissioner, Jay Dardenne, and Veneeth Iyengar, Director of ConnectLA. As Student Body President, I have learned better networking and project management skills. My degree is crucially valuable in that it allows me to better understand my constituents and superiors. Because of this role, I am eager to attend law school and gain the skills necessary to represent more of Louisiana in the future. I am a senior at McNeese State University, and I look forward to new opportunities ahead.
