Trade Compliance Analyst
Current• Lead the company’s export approval process by thoroughly vetting and documenting export sales orders for End-Use, ECCN, HTS, Schedule B, Country of Origin, and ITAR, DEA, and TSCA 12(b) status, to maintain compliance with U.S. export policies and regulations• Develop and manage written policies and procedures governing imports and exports, such as SOPs, work instructions, and an Export Compliance Program Manual, to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and to serve as reference and training material for current and new employees• Support the company’s Free Trade Agreement (FTA) programs by soliciting and procuring applicable documentation from suppliers and converting them into FTA certificates on the company’s letterhead to provide preferential tariff treatment for qualified materials• Conduct audits of customs entries performed on imported merchandise to Canada by checking for proper documentation, valuation, reporting quantity, Country of Origin, and HTS, to confirm that entries are transmitted correctly and duty and taxes are assessed accurately
