As a new May graduate chemical engineer with a BASc degree from the University of Kentucky, I have a strong foundation in engineering principles. I also have a passion for innovation, production, manufacturing, daily operations, and development, which led me to pursue multiple co-op opportunities in different industries.My most notable work experience was with Ascend Performance Materials, where I utilized principles of process design, control, and development to support daily operations, maintenance, and improvement-oriented projects. These projects were diversified and extensive in coverage. First, I conducted heat exchanger monitoring and analysis, which required the usage of heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics. Additionally, I developed statistical process control (SPC) charts, where I incorporated knowledge of process modeling, Aspen process programs, and Microsoft applications for the purposes of data manipulation and presentation. Lastly, I supported startup and commissioning of a newly installed thermal reduction unit, which helped me develop knowledge of technical documentation, control theory, and data organization and implementation into instruments and electronics.My goal is to leverage my engineering and innovation skills to create impactful and sustainable solutions for the world's challenges. I am eager to learn from and work with experienced professionals in the field, and to potentially further my education with a Master of Business Administration degree if desired or a requirement in the future.
