About Samuel Leathers

I am a 6 year veteran of the United States Air Force with a background in avionics on the F-15, C, D and E model. After service I studied chemical engineering briefly at the University Of North Dakota. I joined a computational chemistry research group and began an interest in modeling and simulation, and applying statistical methods to learn about systems. I transferred to the University of California Santa Barbara where I studied statistics and data science to further develop my skills with computational approaches. I then continued my civil service as an Engineer at a Naval research facility for weapons development where I focus on automatic target recognition and cognitive radar.
