Samuel H. Lee, M.D. is a Cornea and External Disease specialist with a wide array of interests including the management of dry eyes and other ocular surface diseases, complex cataract and IOL surgery, refractive surgery, and corneal transplantation.Dr. Lee attended Pacific Union College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors. His ophthalmology training consisted of a residency at the University of California, Davis Eye Center (2009-2012) and a fellowship in Cornea/External Disease/Refractive Surgery at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois, Chicago (2012-2013).From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Lee served as a cornea specialist with Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento. During his time there, he served as the Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD) Ocular Surface Director for all of Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. He was also asked to serve as the team ophthalmologist for the Sacramento Kings during that timeframe. In June of 2016, Dr. Lee left Kaiser Permanente and joined Sacramento Eye Consultants as a member of their Cornea Service.Dr. Lee is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Cornea Society. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has published multiple book chapters and publications in peer reviewed journals, and currently holds an appointment with the UC Davis School of Medicine as a member of the Clinical Faculty.
