Senior Test Specialist
Senior Test Specialist / Ci Project Leader / Sm
Coming back to squad level again after seeing a need to strengthen testing there. This time around the focus is on leading my squad as test Specialist on improving the way of working as part of "shift left" test strategy. For example, how can we detect and fix the vast majority of the defects before we have a release into test env? How can we leverage automation so testers can be freed up from lengthy regression release testing so more time for test support during implementation? How to avoid "catch up" such that automation becomes a large technical debt? Can AI play a role in this? The best part is I and the squad get to hands-on experiment with different ways of working, see the benefits together, then refine and repeat. Still playing the role of SM as well, and that helps ;). We are already seeing noticeable quality improvements in our deliveries after one PI!
Systems Integrator / Scrum Master With Systems Engineering And Architecture
In charge of a new "systems integration" team. We focus on "integration-level" testing of multiple components per release builds as a complement to developers' own component-level trsting. As well, we get to have fun and do our own R&D to expand our testing capability to include automated testing on NFRs in addition to manual regression testing. We move away from traditional pure-tester mindset to a system engineering / testers mindset. The team is also required to become SME on multiple ground / on-board products. I also do SM and a bit of PO role to lead my team to achieve our objectives.
Senior Tester / Scrum Master - Efb Solutions
Senior tester on EFB solutions. Experienced in iOS and Windows-based EFB applications and distribution systems for aviation data. I enjoy adding my previous research and technical experience into my projects to enhance product quality and my team's testing capability. This I take pride of. Took up Scrum Master role in 2022 to help drive changes and improvements on my team. Leading the team to experiment different solutions to work towards RTE's vision, given different opinions and views among the team members. Help RTEs understand challenges along the way.
Masc - Human Factors Researcher In Aviation
I specialized in looking at how latency in surveillance data presented on both navigation and air traffic control radar display can effect communication between pilots and controllers. I also designed a prototype web application (link as attached) that can deliver a simulator-based aviation study on the web through broadcasting existing simulators on the PC onto client browser. The study was a success. Thesis can be accessed here: http://hdl.handle.net/10012/9633
