• Timely and accurate preparation of documents to custom clear grain trains going to Mexico, containers to Asia and vessels to Africa. Over twelve sets of documents per week, including shuttles, exploders, singles, and vessels. Developed a more precise and quicker method to prepare documents by “inter-relating” the NAFTA, bill of lading, and invoice in excel; resulting in increased efficiency for the export department.• Maintain open communication with freight forwarders and custom brokers to coordinate export documentation and assure on time customs clearing to avoid penalizations. Led the team to meet the goal of $0 paid for demurrage fees per year since 2007 with initiatives such as “inter-relation” of documents. Meet the 24 hour deadline on all shuttles and 72 hours on 75-cars or less. • Support exports director with the control, analysis and accounts payable of international accounts with credit lines up to 32 million USD. Calculate the financing amount on shipments once paid in full. Maintain accurate and detail records of all the transactions. • Work with merchandisers of nine different commodities to coordinate the logistical and customer needs of international buyers, as well as taking future orders from the customers to price contracts. Provide customer service to the buyer, asses their quality, pricing and logistical needs to give them a solution. • Managed and dispatch an average of 60 Spanish and English speaking drivers on a continuous basis, assuring their safety and customer needs. Determined safe methods such as split and swap of loads to make more profit for the drivers and the company by delivering the freight on time.
