Within the UCSF Lung Transplant Division, I have assumed a pivotal role in several studies involving the surveillance and treatment of lung allograft dysfunction in both cystic fibrosis (CF) and non-CF patients. My duties include data abstraction, regulatory compliance, patient-centered care (i.e. obtaining consent and ensuring patient comfort and autonomy), comprehensive documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration with the study team, various regulatory bodies, and patients themselves.

My responsibilities included preparing and monitoring medical documentation of over 30 pediatric patients daily, encompassing History of Present Illness, Physical Exam results, and pertinent past medical history, as well as executing daily office operations including analyzing and scoring pediatric psychological exams when relevant to chief complaint.

I facilitated core course experiments for 50 students in undergraduate chemistry class and identified and prepared the required reagents for undergraduate experiments.

I was awarded the Summer Undergraduate Research Grant of $4000 from Northwestern University to perform independent research on the renin-angiotensin system, using chimeric angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 truncates to alleviate renal hypertension at the Batlle Lab. I also assisted in developing grant proposals for ongoing projects in the Batlle Lab.
