Currently working as a project engineer at the high temperature research centre (HTRC). Projects managed include manufacturing improvements and fundamental research into single crystal casting.

Researched single-crystal Ni-base superalloys at high temperatures. Two main areas of research covered dendritic array characterisation and recrystallisation during post-casting heat treatment. Main recrystallisation studies utilised electrothermal mechanical testing to gauge the material response. Used numerous techniques to characterise materials, mainly electron backscattered diffraction and geometrically necessary dislocation studies.

Taught several undergraduate modules including heat treatment in steels, electrothermal mechanical devices, fluid flow and electronics practicals.

Final year project at Leicester involved working alongside a large industrial partner towards the development of an alternative natural product extraction process.
