Currently undertaking my PhD at UNSW, investigating basis sets for heavy elements, including relativistic effects, as well as the application of AI to quantum chemistry. I enjoy applying my maths background to various problems (especially chemistry related!) and have experience implementing these solutions in various coding languages, such as python, bash and Fortran.I completed majors in chemistry and applied mathematics from UNSW. I also achieved a first class honours degree in chemistry from UNSW in April 2023.My honours thesis investigated the property dependency of basis sets specifically core and valence properties for quantum chemistry.This thesis included both examining current basis sets, and optimising new basis sets for specific property calculations. Through the 2019 summer break I used Q-chem on Australia’s National super computer, Gadi for analysis of IR spectra of various dioxins and furans.I Completed my Queen Scout award in early 2018, and have continued in scouting in various leadership roles.
