I am a dedicated, motivated, and results-oriented individual who is passionate about cybersecurity. In order to help organizations protect their critical assets, I am eager to contribute my skills as I transition from the military to the field of Information Technology and Cybersecurity. I have a successful track record of accomplishments during my time in the United States Coast Guard. I am a seasoned Avionics Electrical Technician with 10 years of military experience. I have developed strong leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Despite the fact that I am new to the field of cybersecurity, I am constantly seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in this field. Taking into account that the field of cybersecurity is constantly evolving, so must my skillset in order to combat threat actors and protect critical assets. Recently, I completed a bootcamp, and in a short time I have attained various foundational and intermediate certifications in the areas of A+, Network+, and Security+, as well as a variety of other certifications pertaining to cloud computing and cybersecurity. My current endeavor is to learn Python and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cybersecurity by learning from sites like TryHackMe. Furthermore, I am beginning a 10-week internship with MITRE as a Cyber Futures Intern. This will expose me to hands-on training, collaboration with cybersecurity experts from MITRE, mentorship, and team project work via government-funded capstone projects.It is my confidence that in time, I will be able to make a valuable contribution to any organization. I attribute this to my military background and my proven ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. My strong work ethic and attention to detail, along with my commitment to excellence, make me a valuable member of any team. In order to further develop my skills and grow professionally, I would like to work with a team of experienced professionals who will be able to mentor and guide me as I progress. Cybersecurity offers a wide range of exciting opportunities, and I am eager to take on new challenges. My goal is also to make a positive contribution to the success of any organization I work with, and to make a significant impact on the industry as a whole.
