About Samuel Rawlings
I am a Physiotherapist (BSc)(Hons) currently working at Pivot Health Group in Joondalup as part of a multidisciplinary team. I have a wide range of experience from many clinical practice settings including; private practice musculoskeletal, paediatrics, aged care, along with acute and sub-acute inpatient care. My Honours research project analysed the affects of repeated sub-concussive impacts on motor function and cerebrovascular integrity. Further from this I am also interested in clinical concussion research into rehabilitation strategies to improve clinical outcomes. I see a key aspect of my growth as a health professional to remain up to date and involved in the latest research to ensure the delivery of evidenced based care.My current patient caseload works particularly with chronic pain presentations. I strive to uphold high standards of clinical practice with the goal of ensuring patients are able to understand their pain and implement treatment plans from a biopsychosocial framework. A key goal in my delivery of patient centred care is to improve health literacy and facilitate promoting patient confidence in their pain management.
