For the past 9+ years, I have been fortunate enough to combine my passion and career through working as an education and therapy-based provider for those with non-typical neurological developments.As a teacher, I’m tasked with bringing an array of content to a wide range of learners—there’s no one instructional mold that fits all. Therefore, thinking creatively and making content novel, enjoyable, and comprehendible to a diverse learning population has been crucial to my success and to the educational success of my students.My father always told me, “hard work works" and to "always have a plan.” He did, however, forget to mention saving room for flexibility. As a professional, I value and apply his advice daily, while maintaining a flexible, growth mindset, knowing that the unexpected may arise. This outlook has set me up to execute my work more efficiently and confidently.
