I endorse myself as a "Data Mechanic" because I have the education and experience to appropriately conduct a range of best practices when working with data, from ETL and cleaning to describing the data and creating the final report. In my current role I often work with clunky legacy scripts that can become difficult to understand, updating them to work with the most recent program updates, packages, and libraries. I also build and automate brand new reports that have specific purposes for constantly evolving data. You can think of me as the person you take your car to when it needs an inspection, or an engine rebuild; even if you want a custom-made 2025 "Super-Mobile" built from scratch. I may not have engineered the vehicle, but I can get my hands dirty and build a well-oiled statistical model designed precisely for the task at hand.
