Current- Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to shift, direct daily functions of nursing assistants.- Encourage attending physicians to review treatment plans, record and sign their orders, progress notes, etc. in accordance with established policies.- Chart nurses notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provide for the resident as well as the response to care.- Transcribe physicians' orders to resident charts, medication cards, treatment/care plans as required.- Receive telephone orders from physicians and record on Physician's Order Form- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician including Intravenous drugs. - Administer professional services such as catheterizations, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages (including wound vac therapy), colostomy and drainage bags, taking blood, care for the dead, etc. as required.- Doing assessment not only during admits but on a daily basis with monitoring vital signs, lung sounds, skin assessment including for edema, blood sugar monitoring and insulin injections
