I am a senior currently studying Technical Communication at the University of North Texas with a general focus on technical writing/editing, UX design, & website design. I believe that technology and the web are the future of the job industry, and that has never been clearer than right now.I have been interested in the world of technology & design since my freshmen year of high school, where I took my first ever technology & graphic design classes (respectively). As soon as I stepped foot into these subjects, I was immediately hooked and managed to form close bonds with the teachers because of it. I proceeded to enroll in these classes throughout my entire high school years and am now looking to continue & pursue a career in this field.I was a co-founder of a graphic design business in high school, where I designed the website for said business as well as multiple logos, posters, websites, and more for different clients & companies including a local ranch, fire department, & Mayfield Energy. While working in this business I gained skills in graphic and web design, as well as learning how to work in a team environment & work well with clients.I have experience writing & editing procedural documents, resumes, proposals, technical documents, and blogs from my time at UNT, as well as designing logos, websites, flyers, social media content, and clothing.I am also proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, & Figma, with knowledge of how to use Adobe InDesign. I am also skilled in the Microsoft programs (such as Word & Excel), and I have a basic knowledge of HTML & C++. I also have skills in video & photography taking and editing. I am extremely hardworking and will give my all in anything I am presented with. I am very cooperative & can work exceedingly ably in a team, along with being able to handle and work well with clients.My goal is to obtain a degree in Technical Communication and pursue a career in UX design/general web design or as a writer/editor. With my extensive background in design & writing and my current studies in technical communications, I believe I will be in a great position to chase my dream profession – and I will work hard towards that goal for as long as I need.
