SAMUEL C. SARGEANT, AIA, is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, School of Architecture, Canada. After graduation, with Warren Platner Associates, he was extensively involved in the preliminary design of 500 Wacker Drive Corporate Tower in Chicago. Other projects with WPA include design work in London, New York and Cincinnati. As a principal at Lazarus and Sargeant, he has designed and administered construction of numerous office buildings, school facilities, commercial and residential projects. He specializes in facilities planning and the design of the larger projects for the firm. His work with clients such as Winstanley Enterprises, REIT Research & Management and Mountain Development Corp. have resulted in millions of square feet of tenant improvements and new commercial construction. On the commercial / industrial side, his work for industrial clients has produced over thirty new manufacturing / storage facilities. His services for Alexion Pharmaceuticals resulted in the extensive replanning of their 149,000 SF footprint Knotter Dr., Cheshire facility including a 40,000 SF addition and design work at their two nearby satellite facilities.
