Academic Achievements:- First Class MEng Masters degree in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering at QUB.- Grade A in Maths & Physics & Technology at A Level & Grade A in AS Level ICT. Mechanical Design Engineer:I have worked on a very wide spread variety of projects from small product designs such as hydraulic & pneumatic cable pushers to large product design for waste water screening, mobile welfare cabins and its chassis. I currently work with large custom solution gensets from 800 kVa - 2500kVa together with the housing and packaging of these into containers. This includes modification of ISO containers and fully designing large bespoke containers and fuel tanks.Finite Element AnalysisI have used Finite Element Analysis extensively for over a decade for stress analysis of components and connections and verified these results with relevant calculations for pins/bolts/tank walls in Reports. I have also performed fatigue and weld checks on aforementioned conveyor members and localised connections. I currently do all FEA analysis on critical parts of gensets, containers and tanks, particularly verifying their integrity while lifting and handling them. I also size container floor members to withstand the loads of gensets for large custom width containers.I also check all of our tank designs to withstand the max possible fuel pressure and also lifting them even with large containers placed on top of them. Project ManagementIn my current employment I run a Special Product Planning process to ensure sales and engineering are co ordinated when special custom orders come in and these orders are planned in advance with critical path components identified and ordered at the earliest possible stage. In previous employment I organised site works, tender drawings and specifications and also inspecting the works progress during construction. This work would include factory extensions, Retaining walls and Carparks to name a few.Steelwork Structural EngineerFrom 2014-2021 I used Masterseries Software for structural design. A large proportion of this work was for large complex 4000+ member conveyors for the material handling industry including ship loaders all over the world in Australia, Chile, Japan, UAE, Mexico, USA, South Africa. Home Farm DesignI have designed and built a number of products for use on a farm at home. This includes a large tractor mounted Fence Post Driver and a tractor mounted sheep & barbed wire dispenser and tensioner. Also small items like a Land leveller and digger bucket attachments.
