In my current school I am responsible for planning and teaching all subjects across the curriculum. One of my main duties in this role is the effective teaching and nurturing of my Year 6 students to equip them with the knowledge and skill to undertake their SATs in the Summer term. I pride myself on the strong results that the students have achieved in the time which I have led the class. Year upon year I strive to improve my practice so as my students realise their potential - such is my reflective and critical-thinking nature. I also lead Computing and PSHE for the school and have designed and implemented subject action plans to improve the curriculum and raise standards in these subjects, in co-ordination with the Head. By calling upon my own knowledge and expertise, I have shared best evidence-based practices with fellow teachers to support their teaching which has contributed to students' improved attainment in these subjects.
