Improved the efficiency and accuracy of several material quality tests in Polaris’s materials lab, which handles over 5,000 material tests a year for all of Polaris’s products. These included adhesion, scratch/mar, coefficient of friction, and UV exposure tests. Created internal procedures and Polaris standards for tests.

Worked with Elkhart County, Indiana, to create a sustainable system for measuring the “quality of life” in the county. Established key statistical indicators to guide allocation of county's 5 million dollar budget, and led the quantitative analysis of results.

Participated in a broad engineering effort to validate the maximum allowable operating pressure (MAOP) of gas transmission stations and facilities. Researched potential of nondestructive pipeline indentation testing, a safer, cheaper technology compared to current material strength testing.

Developed and tested polymeric membranes that maximize permeability and selectivity when used for gas separation. Synthesized complex molecular compounds and applied material analysis tools to measure characteristics of finished polymers.
