Papa is a health tech / gig marketplace startup delivering “family on demand” to older adults. I led technical teams on both sides of our business, helping grow revenue 3x to more than $100 million as our caregivers completed 1 million in-home and virtual visits per year.For 2 years I served as Product Lead on the Mobile team, overseeing strategy & execution for our 2 React Native apps. I worked with a cross-functional team to slash CAC by half, optimize late cancellations & fill rate, and improve core technology to support accurate location tracking, notifications, and payments for our caregivers.In 2023, I moved onto the member side as Product Lead for Member Web, where I guided a team 0 → 1 as we built the first self-service experience for our members. I oversaw our roadmap as we employed a strategy of rapid experimentation and technologies like Phoenix LiveView & Twilio to deliver industry-leading UX for older adults, slashing support costs through self service.

Slader was an education technology startup that provided user-generated homework help to 10 million students per month. In 2020 the company was acquired by Quizlet, where I worked for nearly a year. I joined as Slader's first product hire, working as an IC / manager in charge of product strategy, UX, and day-to-day product development. I helped the business 2x revenue as we moved upmarket from high school into college, launching a new subscription product: Slader for College, and Slader Q&A: a mobile-first homework helper powered by AI.

I moved to DC for a year and led product at Union, a seed stage B2B SaaS startup building community management software to connect founders, mentors, and investors on a global network. I oversaw product strategy and day-to-day development, helped to secure a strategic partnership with Techstars, and learned the hard way how to lead under pressure in pursuit of product-market fit.

PM for Stack Overflow Talent, a hiring technology platform to help recruiters post jobs and source candidates for technical roles. I worked with a cross-functional team to build out our employer branding offering (similar to the company pages you see on LinkedIn), implement machine learning-based recommendation systems to match job postings with candidate profiles, which increased engagement with our outbound recruiting product 2.5x, and tested pricing changes as we transitioned to a SaaS business that hit $50 million ARR in 2017.

Prior to moving onto the B2B side, I worked on Stack Overflow’s consumer-facing products, specializing in data & analytics, working with programming languages like SQL and Python, and tools like Google Analytics and Mixpanel to run A/B tests and other conversion optimization experiments to drive signups, engagement, and retention. Also, I led the development and launch of the Stack Overflow Survey, growing it into the the largest study of software developer behaviors, ever.

I was hired to help grow the Stack Exchange network beyond its core demographic: software developers.A few things I worked on: network-wide Google Analytics implementation; our first paid Facebook, Reddit, and Adwords campaigns; growth and analytics of localized Stack Overflow sites in Brazil and Japan.
