The Estuary Care Foundation exists to advocate for the interests of the environment as relates to estuaries in South Australia, and more broadly as an ecological principle. The Adelaide bid-committee for Formula E is a dedicated group of forward-thinkers from around Australia with big plans for Adelaide. We believe that bringing the world’s biggest electric supercar race to Adelaide has significant spinoff benefits outside the economic impact of hosting the race itself.The Committee comprised the Directors of Speak Entertainment Pty Ltd, a company set up for the purpose of Formula E advocacy, and the CEOSpeak Entertainment wound up in October 2023 after years of advocacy and participation in cutting-edge conversations about electrification and sustainable futures.

The Marco Polo Project is a not-for-profit company based in Melbourne, Australia. Our vision is to be a premier address for cultural learning and language enrichment, and to enhance the connectivity between Chinese culture and other cultures.We do this by promoting a multi-directional integrated workspace online, through a crowd-sourcing wiki-based translation service. Users can upload a text in Chinese, and it will be collaboratively translated into other languages, such as English and French, by potentially hundreds of users simultaneously from around the World.This will bring contemporary Chinese literature and other texts to a global readership, promoting cultural understanding and enhanced exchange.In more recent years, MPP has focussed on educational services within organisations and the experience of ESL residents in Australia.I am a Founding Independent Non-Executive Director, and have also advised on HR for our volunteer strategy and overall organisational structure, and strategic planning.

As Chair, it is my intention to achieve a clear strategic reinvestment plan that will maintain the competitiveness of our building over the long term, and improve the lives of residents.

The Community Corporation is the governing organisation for management of the building and community at 156 Wright St. Our members are the owners of the 220 apartments in the building.I was elected soon after completion of the building, and have remained on the committee. Key achievements include successful lobbying for the installation of solar panels on the roof which will reduce the electricity use by the common property allotment by about 30%.

The Distinguished Alumni Committee is the custodian of the Flinders University Convocation Medal, the Distinguished Alumni Award, and since 2020, the Early Career Alumni Award, and is responsible for the review and selection of awardees on behalf of the University.The Distinguished Alumni Awards and Convocation Medals recognise *significant* professional and personal achievement and contribution. Often over a long lifetime of service, usually this means awardees have accumulated hundreds of research publications, countless other honours and meritorious awards, and resumes spanning dozens of pages. With a limited number of awards each year, it is difficult for young people to compete.Therefore, I helped make the case to create the Early Career Alumni Awards, to enable the committee to specifically focus on no less outstanding achievements, taking into account the context of the recency since graduation. The Playford Scholars Association is a vibrant community of past scholarship recipients. We get together to cultivate a community of high-achieving South Australians to network and continue relationships with the Trust and industry and community sponsors.As a Scholar in 2009, I have been working with the Playford Trust and fellow Scholars since then to bring the Scholars Association into a higher public profile, and as Acting Chair / President from 2011 to 2014.The Playford Scholars Association held its Inaugural General Meeting on 18th September 2014, where the first Committee was formed. I was elected as Vice President at this meeting, in order to help complete the succession-planning process, and re-elected as President at 2016 AGM.

The State EcoSurf Project Committee is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and programmes that reduce the environmental impact of Surf Life Saving activities in South Australia. I have been an active member since early 2008, and have contributed to a number of projects and strategic priorities.I feel that this is one area where Surf Life Saving SA is leading Australia in our field, and I am excited to be a part of it.Some plans for the coming twelve months include hosting a national conference, reinstating the Coastal Ambassadors integration, updating our indigenous Coastal Gardens, realigning the strategic plan and developing new tools for community education.

Mark Parnell MLC in the Parliament of South Australia.In this role I negotiated with stakeholders, undertook research and cultivated relationships in order to provide sound policy, media and political advice to the office. I was also responsible for managing Freedom of Information request flows, social and traditional media campaigns and monitoring the spectrum of political issues in the press and in the Parliament.A communications professional with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of constituents and stakeholders both when accompanying and on behalf of Mr Parnell.

In March 2014, I stood down from the President role due to increasing work commitments, and took on Vice President, replacing my colleague Jared Poulton who stepped up into the President's role. As Vice President, my main role is to support Jared, as well as to Chair the Sponsorship Committee and report to the Management Committee on that basis.

I was elected as the Club President in July 2012. As President of the Club, I primarily led the Management Committee through stages of strategic planning, succession, operational management, budgeting and compliance. There is a significant human resources commitment, volunteer management being a major aspect of this.I also planned, organise and ran events for members and the public, liaised with sponsors and VIPs, generated repeat business and attracted new members by nurturing personal relationships. I also ensured sustainability of these relationships by including my management team in the process and implementing succession planning processes.As the youngest club President ever in the history of the surf life saving in Australia (since 1907), I am proud of the following achievements:- Level 3 Good Sports accreditation and abolished alcohol sponsorship at the club- constitutional and governance review, including an organisational restructure- re-established the Life Membership conferral process, resulting in the first new Life Member being elected in a decade- reformed the membership model to attract new members and revenue, especially associate members and family memberships- brought the club premises up to code and managed significant compliance-focussed renovations, including by running a stakeholder engagement campaign to ensure members were on side- reviewed the club's financial arrangements and corrected historical errors amounting to $1.4m

My role as the Promotions Officer on the Board of Management of the North Haven SLSC means that I am responsible for the marketing and communications strategies and implementation of these to our membership and to the broader community.On a day-to-day basis, I manage the club's social media channels, cross-link between platforms and work with the Webmaster to deliver a high-level online experience for members and potential members.

I have engineered a number of projects at state level, and coordinated their implementation into our club at a local level. This has enabled me to analyse multiple perspectives and issues. Initiatives have included collaboration with the local council and A&MLR NRM Board for the Coastal Gardens Project, as well as the "Bins Between the Flags" Project rolled out across all SA clubs. I also managed the grant application and reporting as well as implementation of water-saving measures at North Haven SLSC.

The Australian Marine Sciences Association (AMSA) SA Branch is a not-for-profit professional organisation representing the diverse opinions, perspectives and interests of Marine Scientists in South Australia both nationally and internationally. The Committee is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations and strategic policy of the association, both by responding to the needs of the membership base and communicating new legislative frameworks within which to work. The Association also provides an avenue for governmental bodies to access the collective views of marine scientists on certain issues, and provides researchers with opportunities to network and participate in cross-disciplinary research.

My research focussed on the ecology and phenology of 'Caulerpa taxifolia' and 'Caulerpa racemosa var. cylindracea' in Australia. These are two highly invasive algal species which can cause hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to coastal ecosystems, and in lost revenue from coastal and marine industries such as fisheries.Assessing the response of 'Caulerpa' species to climate change and other human impacts and disturbances is critical to managing current invasion sites, predicting future incursions and modelling biosecurity risks, and protecting Australian ecosystems from further degradation.

As a member of the Ambassadorial Delegation to Japan, I facilitated/chaired groups that were responsible for grand-scale events onboard the Ship for World Youth. I also negotiated through and resolved a number of culturally sensitive conflicts. I worked with the Australian delegation to represent our country professionally and with dignity.During planning stages, I contributed to group plans, and collaborated with colleagues on a range of projects in preparation for our voyage.The Ship for World Youth is a diplomatic programme organised by the Cabinet Office of Japan. 150 young delegates from a range of countries are selected to join together on a two month intensive cultural exchange in Japan and traveling to a number of other countries by a specially commissioned ship.The aims of the mission are to increase cross-cultural understanding and empathy around the world, and influence the next generation of world leaders to create a more harmonious and sustainable society.

I worked as a research assistant in Biological Sciences in Dr Sabine Dittmann's laboratory. I was a part of several major projects including the Coorong and Lower Lakes monitoring and the Goolwa Channel monitoring, both supported by the South Australian Government.This ongoing research required significant field and laboratory work, statistical analyses and the preparation of reports that feed directly into the management of the Murray River lower catchment system.The particular focus of the research was to investigate biodiversity trends in order to characterise the health and 'recoverability' of the highly-disturbed lower lakes macro-ecosystem.
