I'm Sam, a PhD Candidate in Biochemistry at the University of Utah. I'm interested in leveraging machine learning to generate insights for biologically relevant problems. I've designed a multidisciplinary project focused on computational protein design, protein expression/characterization, chemical protein synthesis, phage display, and drug development/optimization. Currently in the middle of my PhD, I am highly interested in additional outside training opportunities in the machine learning and data science fields to further develop my skills.
