About Sam Zaydel

Having done a wide range of technology related work, I have a pretty good sense about what I do well and under what conditions I excel. I have worn a number of hats over the years, from working in a datecenter managing and contributing to large Infrastructure initiatives, upgrades, migrations, M&A activities to managing Standardization efforts, Process definition work, to writing technical documentation to Project Management. I still believe my heart is on the Operational side of things where I can feel the pulse of what is going on in the environment and stay in touch with my customers.Over the years I was compelled by performance and tuning for performance, as well as by architecting robust and sustainable solutions that followed best practices produced by the industry. I always try to stay on top of latest technology and take every opportunity to utilize cutting edge technology in way that maximize long-term success of whatever effort I undertake.Next steps in my career, I am hoping anyway, are going to allow me to put to use things I enjoy doing and tools with which I have grown and learned to use very well over the years. Data science is something that I feel will benefit from my existing expertise and at same time will bring me deep satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment through improving the world through reason and data.I have been on both ends of the data pipeline, having produced massive amounts while in operations, and having digested and analyzed in my various roles throughout my career.Specialties: Operations, and Operational Support, Project Management on Large Infrastructure Initiatives, Solutions, Datacenter implementations, Server migrations, Distributed Computing, Datacenter Design, and Construction
