Independently and as part of a dynamic type-A personality team, worked with a growing base of existing and potential customers of Nexenta Systems, specifically the core product NexentaStor, helping to architect, build and deploy highly scale-able, fault-tolerant, robust and sustainable solutions. Focused primarily on sustained high-quality premier support and consulting with strong focus and commitment to achieving highest possible results with a minimum investment, regardless of customer's implementation or goals. I generalize in what I do, without specifically focusing on one particular area. However, due to increased demands for automation and the general DevOps (Developer Operations) direction many organizations are taking, I am trying to retool and re-purpose myself to solve problems in this arena, using and building tools based on Python, Ruby, various shells and others, leveraging Configuration Management frameworks such as Puppet, OpsCode Chef, and the emerging technologies, such as Fabric, Cuisine, Blueprint, and others based on Python, my language of choice, due to its particular affinity to Systems Management.

Administration of an Enterprise Open Systems Environment:● Develop strategies to improve systems support and stability by closely interacting with application owners andreviewing and contributing to administration policies and procedures.● Develop and document routine maintenance policies in an effort to make the environment more supportableand in the process improve outdated and inappropriate policies.● Support Disaster Recovery initiatives including building DR systems, testing and maintaining documentationand standard job instructions for Distributed Systems.● Conduct routine maintenance of systems, including system log analysis, patching, disk management,application upgrades, utilization monitoring and standards control.Systems Architecture:● Engineer and deploy a Disaster Recovery solution for 3000+ critical systems supporting over 100 applicationsincluding distributed Oracle RAC clusters, VMware ESX clusters all running SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 and 11.● Architect solutions, using various automation tools, most suitable to unique requirements of individualapplications via thorough analysis, process and work flow reviews, strict project management and leadership.● Work closely with application teams to performance tune a critical EDI environment and improve uptime whilereducing downtime for necessary maintenance.Standards Development:● Work within the overall support team to standardize, simplify, and consolidate environments with a goals ofreducing complexity, driving down overhead and cost of support.● Perform necessary Project Management activities to complete various Distributed Systems projects withinPostal Service guidelines, on time and within budget.

Currently, working as a Project Manager on various SDLC projects. Primarily involved in managing IT side of integrating new Health Plans into OptumHealth's Network. Other projects are primarily focused on delivering improvements and added value to various clinical and customer facing web applications developed internally. The projects vary in size widely, anywhere from hundreds to several thousand hours.Healthcare is a very unique industry and I have a lot of experience in this field. My experience encompasses not just technology, but legal regulations impacting the industry, standards which many Healthcare organizations follow, and other valuable knowledge, which I can successfully transfer from my current position into future opportunities.

Manage mostly Infrastructure related projects. Typical project may be to upgrade, or add new network circuits, build a data center, or implement a new datacenter. I have to manage and guide people as well as keep track of the project itself. As a PM I make sure that there is no scope creep, and that everyone is doing what they are supposed to. I keep communications open to make sure that there is no doubling of effort, and that people execute their assigned tasks on time, and completely.
