The New Brunswick Senior Citizen Resource Center (NBSCRC) is a multi-purpose facility for independent seniors that provides a supportive and stimulating environment. The NBSCRC is open daily and serves a multi-diverse population in New Brunswick. The Center offers a variety of cultural, social, educational, recreational, and health-related programs designed to promote the quality of life for all its senior members. • Provide assistance with daily onsite programs and special events that enrich and enhance the senior's quality of life.• Create 30-minute Lunch & Learn presentations that are interesting and relevant to seniors in the areas of health/wellness, education, and recreation, as well as social and cultural topics.• Engage in activities that include outreach, instructional classes, coordinating and providing support for established programs, and creating content for the center’s Virtual Vitality program. The Virtual Vitality program is where I engage remotely via Zoom with the Seniors who are homebound or unable to visit the Senior Center and discuss relevant health topics that pertain to their daily lives.

Leading Medical Care is an Internal Medicine practice where patients 18 and older are accepted as medical patients. As a medical assistant, it is my responsibility to monitor and record an average of 25 patients per day (e.g. obtain patients’ vital signs such as blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, temperature). Triage and assess their medical conditions. Administer Injections such as Vitamin b-12, Influenza Vacinne and Tetanus. Another responsibilities of my role include… • Annotate patient laboratory results and relay their detailed medical plan of care instructed by the physicians to the respective patient. • Prepare treatment rooms for the examination of patients. Greet patients and verify their medical history, current medications, social history, family history, and chief complaint. • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by following the protocols of HIPAA and safeguarding medical records. • Electronically order labs, diagnostic imaging, medication refills, and medical supplies as directed. • Assist physicians in accessing all relevant test results and medical history documents through respective EMR systems.• Organize and process the requests for medical records, prior authorizations, medical letters, and data entry with instructions from the physicians. • Check in and out patients in the office, verify name, date of birth, demographic information, address, insurance, and pharmacy. Answer phones, take messages, and relay patient information to the appropriate physician.

•Aid the pharmacists in providing quality pharmaceutical care to all patients by performing technical duties in the pharmacy department, working under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist and Store Manager.•Retrieve and verify patient medical and insurance information to help the pharmacist process medication refills.
