Design appealing labels for marketing purposes to various clients; Design materials formedia promotions as well as design websites and business cards for various companies.During my final semester at Elms College, I was allowed to enroll in a 400 level course intended for students obtaining a major in graphic design. I needed to choose a final project and being a craft beer enthusiast, I chose to design beer labels from many of my favorite breweries. I posted several examples in social media on craft beer enthusiast pages and received a very positive response. Many breweries noticed the designs and wanted to hire me for my services. After graduating, I took on many projects and turned it into a small business. I also volunteer my skills for a non-profit organization, which a colleague and I are building a website from scratch for free and I redesigned the organization's logo. I also volunteer my services to a small multi-service dealership, which I am also building a website, designing a logo, updating their devices and operating systems, and suggesting programs for better record keeping. Although this is my current business, my focus is geared toward developing my career in IT. I will continue helping others in my community by providing any knowledge I may have as well as offer my services to companies who appreciate my work, but I would prefer to keep this as a hobby as I truly enjoy creating art to be shown and appreciated by others.

I started off as a maintenance technician for a property management company. I would handle tenants issues immediately and efficiently. During slow days, I needed to remain busy so I took the opportunity to clean and organize the maintenance shop. Due to my work ethic, I was soon offered the maintenance supervisor position. I supervised 3 other maintenance techs and I was responsible for ordering supplies, scheduling techs for on-call, checking the property for any hazards and immediately correcting them. I approached the owner with some ideas to re-design the maintenance shop in order for my team and me to operate more efficiently. I was approved to purchase building materials and I single-handedly renovated the shop which allowed the team to handle more calls on a daily basis. The company was exploring options to update the property's CCTV system and so I offered to explore companies that can upgrade the system as cost-effective as possible. I organized a meeting with a company and negotiated options to provide a better end cost. Due to my involvement, we ended up offering the contract to this company and the property received more monitoring capabilities for less. During my time as a supervisor, Mount Holyoke Mgmt. allowed me to do my internship there, which I worked with a web developer. I performed tasks such as using CSS to assist in designing a website for various properties belonging to MHM in order to provide access to community residents.Aside from my internship, I was involved in other IT-related tasks such as designing material for media based community promotions. I also provided IT tech support for the management office such as troubleshooting software programs, hardware issues, networking issues, and performed back-ups for office.

While attending Elms College, I worked as a Dell Field Technician repairing laptops, desktops, and tablets. I became certified to replace all hardware components of Dell devices as well as troubleshooting and configuring BIOS settings. I used the SRMS ticketing system in order to triage work orders accordingly for the day. I would contact customers by phone to schedule a window for service. I truly enjoyed dismantling desktops and laptops in order to troubleshoot components so I can replace faulty hardware. Completely dismantling laptops is intimidating for many IT techs I worked with, but I found it to be quite interesting. I received positive feedback from many of our customers and soon I was offered to take on more responsibility which involved becoming certified in repairing and troubleshooting servers. Customer Service was of the utmost importance to me. There were times where customers schedules were too busy to be able to meet with me during my regular hours. As I truly enjoy leaving customers satisfied, many times I offered to provide services after hours and on weekends to make sure I can make repairs necessary to get them back up and running.

I was offered to work as an IT tech associate with the owner of a small computer repair shop. I always had an interest in computers and so this was a great opportunity to get a first-hand experience and gain knowledge in working on computers. I performed various tasks such as troubleshooting software related issues, replaced hardware on various desktops, re-imaged desktops, and did virus removal using software such as Norton and Malwarebytes.
