Manager of the Security Governance and Compliance department at the Security Platforms Business Unit of Rakuten Mobile. My responsibilities included obtaining and maintaining security compliance certifications, security product management and optimization of the security offerings to the organization, security roadmapping and planning, and business support across the Security Platform BU. Reporting responsbilities included managing and reporting about the security KPIs to higher management on a monthly basis.

Interim responsible for security assurance testing within Rakuten Mobile. Responsibilities included development of the security assurance capabilities and expanding the number of assets in reach of the security assurance tests. Reporting responsibilities included presenting monthly progress to higher management.

Responsible for security compliance and governance within Rakuten Mobile. Amongst others, I built the team, set up and conducted security awareness trainings, reported regularly to C-level management about the progress of the security program of work, and guided the adoption of updated security policies in the organization.

In my role as a security architect in the Rakuten Mobile 4G and 5G cloud-based network, I was primarily responsible for the implementation of the Identity Management and Public Key Infrastructure within Rakuten Mobile.My key achievements are the ahead of schedule delivery of the public key infrastructure installation, the set up of the identity and access management team, and the delivery of the identity and access management solution's architecture and day 1 implementation.

In my role as standards strategy and market research manager at NEC, I was the leading expert for the 5G security architecture team at NEC. This means that I lead the team that was geographically spread over three locations and align the views and contributions to the security working group of 3GPP.My key achievements were an improvement of the team's output and improved alignment between the delegates.

During my time at TNO, my responsibilities and duties have ranged from that of applied researcher, to security consulting for a customer, and project management in international projects. Topics have included that of 5G mobile network security, ad hoc network security, and monitoring and detection. In the field of 5G Mobile Network Security, my achievements include various contributions to the 5G Security Architecture TS 33.501. During the period 2015-2018, I represented the Dutch operator KPN in the security working group of 3GPP and presented over 100 contributions to the standard. In addition, I have led the security task of the SaT5G collaborative project.Another topic of my research at TNO was detecting advanced persistent threats in corporate and military networks. Within this scope, I contributed to the development of new detection algorithms, tested existing algorithms and was a project leader for a European project that brought our technology to the market.

My roles and responsibilities included the technical management of the middleware platform Cordys. Day to day tasks included planning and performing feature and security upgrades, supporting testing of new features, monitoring the health of the application, and thereby making sure that payments and wire transfers in the Netherlands happen smoothly.Half-way in my tenure, I also supported the implementation of the PCI DSS standard for the Cordys platform by authoring and implementing the required processes.
