As a graduate student completing my doctoral capstone project, I had the opportunity to work with the staff of the Office of Disability Services on campus as well as the students the office serves. For my project, I created an hour-long educational program about autism spectrum disorder and offered the program three times per week for eight weeks (24 total sessions) for professors on campus. The purpose of my project was to improve the participants' self-reported knowledge about autism spectrum disorder, improve professors' self-reported confidence when interacting with autistic students, and provide ways professors can support autistic students within the classroom and promote their inclusion. I created my own pretest and posttest questionnaires to assess any latent changes in self-reported knowledge and perception of autism spectrum disorder. Overall, participants reported gaining valuable information about the diverse characteristics of the diagnosis, as well as increased confidence of how to improve the inclusion of autistic students within the classroom. I also had the opportunity to create educational resources about occupation-based aspects of college life that are often difficult for autistic students. I created a "Student Success Guide" complete with research articles, references, helpful information, and simplified handouts with relevant information. Topics included: self-advocacy, time management, self-care, leisure activity exploration, personal care, social skills, stress management, mindfulness, safety management on campus, resume creation, and email etiquette.

I supported the team in performing daily goals alongside boosting production goals by properly preparing, packing, and sorting customer orders for shipment using correct materials in a timely manner. I anticipated customer needs and provided them with high quality service while upholding brand standards and values to ensure customer satisfaction.

Provided nursing assistance with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living to residents in a skilled nursing facility. Assisted with administering treatments and self-administered medications accurately and timely per each residents’ personalized treatment book.

As an intern at the facility, I was allowed the opportunity to teach various fitness classes including cross-fit, high energy athletic training, beginner's yoga, step, and speed and agility class for kids. I also had the opportunity to teach intervention classes including Delay the Disease (Parkinson's Disease intervention) and assist in the Diabetes Prevention Program. I also trained clients of varying ability levels including one client who had knee replacement surgery and another client who was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Working with individuals belonging to special populations allowed me to further broaden my knowledge of exercise interventions as well as show me how much I enjoy working with clients on a one-on-one basis.For my final project, I created a series of "Wellness Wednesdays" videos that detailed the six different aspects of wellness. The videos described each aspect, explained the importance of each, and finished with tips and suggestions of how to improve each of the aspects of wellness in an individual's personal life. I completed this internship project alongside another SRU intern.

Skillfully managed store opening and closing tasks such as managing POS system, managing physical monetary sales, delegating tasks to the sales team, managing email communications regarding profits with other managers and corporate workers. Actively stayed informed about latest sales offerings and loyalty programs pertaining to the brand. Maintained a clean, organized inventory and curated displays of rotating seasonal clothing and accessories

Meticulously handled POS system transactions including credit, cash, checks, exchanges, returns, and refunds to ensure seamless and accurate cash flow. Achieved goals by discussing various marketing and communication strategies with managers. Developed customer service skills to cater to a range of clientele and to support customer satisfaction. Skillfully stocked the sales floor and stock room with new merchandise as per corporate merchandising outline. Organized sale fixtures with older product to ensure new items were properly stocked in the front of the store and organized to improve customer shopping experience.The company closed all of their physical stores at the end of 2019. I was able to transition to a subsidiary close to the location prior to this retail store's closure.
