Military Spouse Elementary Teacher passionate about literacy and education. I am looking to merge my experience in education and literacy with my interest in library media. Highly skilled in interpersonal communication and highly adaptable to new situations. Willing and ready to learn quickly. Excited to re-enter the professional field and to be part of the continued education of our community through the use of literature.My break in professional work has been filled with full-time parenting. I am fully adept in planning and managing ever-changing schedules, activities, and calendars. I am a Military Spouse who is well versed in adapting quickly to new environments and expectations. As a mom and teacher of military children, I am well aware of the challenges that arise with the constant changes and unknowns this transient lifestyle brings. Multiple moves present gaps in learning and education, as well as emotional gaps that come with deployed parents, consistent goodbyes to friends, and being the one left behind. These constant, inevitable changes are difficult to navigate. My goal is to use my experience in Education and Literacy, as well as my experience living the military lifestyle, to help young and old alike, to not only survive where they are at, but to thrive. I am looking to merge all of my strengths and skills, as well as my love for literature and books into programs that will provide consistent support and a safe place for all in this unique population.
