Satellite Systems Engineer \ Senior Software Integrator
Current• Serve as a Senior Engineer performing Software Integration across all the Flight Operative Directorate (FOD) to help identify and resolve issues related to telemetry prioritizations and telemetry bandwidth management. • Lead the International Space Station (ISS) Telemetry Tiger Team in prioritization during the ISS Command and Telemetry Team (ICATT) cycle. • Serve as a Restricted Command List (RCL) Manager to manage and execute the RCL process. Coordinate and communicate with the Computer Safety Working Group for identified hazardous commands for each cycle and discuss risk mitigations. • Serve as a Flight Production Manager. Perform reviews of the Functional Qualification Test work for ISS Class 3 Telemetry Pre-Positioned Loads (PPLs). The review is to ensure that the test has demonstrated successful loading of PPLs onto the Command & Control (C&C) Multiplexer/ Multiplexer / De-multiplexer (MDMs). Meet with other engineers and management of the results of each test performed. • Support the ISS Operations Nomenclature (OpNom) Advisory Group for ICATT Op Names and issues. The objective is to assist the group to register common, concise, and consistent terms (names, acronyms, and abbreviations) to maximize communication during mission operations. • Flight Operative Directorate (FOD) – Baseline Specification Request (BSR) backup representative. Coordinate with Flight Controllers to review files that are included in an Integrated Flight Load (IFL). The IFL is used as a method to deliver software to the International Space Station (ISS). • Manage ICATT standards by maintaining the International Space Station Command and Telemetry (ICATT) Standards SSP 50645 document. The ICATT Standards document defines products, tasks, processes, rules, and guidelines to be followed by ICATT participants to ensure that mission objectives are met.
