With the expertise I have built up over the last 20 years in a wide range of applied research projects and in education, I want to make a direct contribution to social issues. I understand and oversee measurement, monitor and implementation issues in health care and well-being. To design this measurement process together with the end users and in a creative and thorough way. By which the measurement burden is minimal and gains are optimal. So that you know what you measure and only measure when you are going to use the outcomes of the measurements. In addition, I want to be an ambassador for applied research. In which I define applied research as research that is carried out according to the rules of science and answers questions that are relevant for daily practice.

'Lector' of the research centre Autonomy and Participation for people with chronic illnesses, Faculty of Health, Zuyd University of applied science. Within this centre we perform research projects in the field of measurememt, clientparticipation and communication and inter-professional collaboration and education. With the results of the projects we want to support persons with chronic illnesses to live the life they want to. Results of research projects are implemented in bachelor and master programs.
