I was employed to make Section 184 decisions under the Housing Act 1996. With a strong knowledge of relevant Housing legislations that was required for this position I made justified decisions on vulnerable clients well being and successfully assessed tenants needs to tailor advice and services to each individual. Experience working with vulnerable people and making decisions based on their best interests to provide exceptional advice based on knowledge in Housing. These included but not limited too:-• Making Section 184 decisions under the Housing Act 1996• Carrying out Part 6 or Part 7 assessments• Carrying out enquiries to understand what duties are owed by the client• Create Personalised Housing Plans for vulnerable clients under the Homeless Act• Ensure the best Housing service and preventing homelessness where necessary• To interview clients utilising all communication channels, face-to-face, telephone and e mail• Provide accurate housing & debt advice and information.• Manage own caseload effectively.• Liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations such as Department of Work and Pensions, Social Services, and community organisations as appropriate. • Foster Partnerships and collaborative working both internal and external.
