Strong leadership and management experience gained after serving over 10 years as an active duty U.S. Naval Officer. My time in the Navy presented me with many challenging managerial assignments, both in the United States and abroad. Just prior to the birth of my second child, I resigned my commission as an officer and for a period of time focused on the management of my household and toward numerous volunteer activities. During this period, I coordinated multiple relocations, domestic and international. I re-entered the workforce in May 2018. Over the past six years I have re-gained workforce experience. I am currently in a challenging full-time role supporting the leadership team for the Northern Virginia District of the Virginia Department of Transportation. Prior to that I was providing the sole support on a broad array of tasks for executive management and office staff for a private firm.
