In 2010, I moved into the Billing department. I have eight years experience in Billing. I excelled at reviewing and correcting all denials from insurance. I would have to research why the claims were denied, correct them, and post into the billing system. Any encounters not posted were also researched and posted. In 2012, I became the Accounts Receivable Specialist. That entails posting all of the insurance EOBs, EFTs, abstracting information from hospital charts, coding and posting surgeries, verifying insurance, dealing with any billing issues, balancing out the money every day, collecting money due, and dealing with any patient problems. I have six years' experience with abstracting information from 3 different hospital programs, six years' experience in OB/GYN surgical coding, and eight years' experience in physician office coding. I have coded inpatient, outpatient, E/M, same day surgery, and consults.Since February 2016, I have worked remotely for this office.
