Mrs. Lanier was Team Lead for EDS’s IDS/Global Information Assurance Group. Deploying over 150 sensors worldwide and using ISS Real Secure interfaces to passively sniff all network packets to detect attacks and compare them to a database of attack signatures. She provided Senior IA support to commercial and government clients in a variety of fashions. This includes systems migrations, performing non-intrusive vulnerability assessments and security posture analysis to clients in accordance with the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Mrs. Lanier also engaged in conducting non- intrusive vulnerability and threat identification assessments on a government agency that is seeking compliance of Presidential Decision Directive 63 (PDD-63) by implementing a Critical Infrastructure Assurance Office (CIAO) approved methodology. During these assessments Mrs. Lanier worked with organization managers identifying and correcting vulnerabilities by providing hands on assistance, guidance, and on-the-job training to organizational personnel. Also helped to assure programs are established (EMSEC, SATE/IAAP, COMPUSEC) in accordance with national, service and command policy and to determine if the processes being used are efficient.Then Mrs. Lanier assessed each program throughout the organization and tenant units and tested the Network Control Center’s (NCC) ability to adequately monitor base information systems and networks. This was done on both SINPRNet and NIPRNet networks, which also included some physical security. Team lead on a Certification and Accreditation project: for the Air National Guard on a team that were responsible for gathering and analyzing current documentation and responsible for completing phase one of the DITSCAP process, writing the System Security Authorization Agreement to include the Security Awareness Training and Education (SATE) plan.

Mrs. Lanier maintained heterogeneous LAN/WAN environments consisting of multiple operating systems (MS Windows 95/98/ME/NT4.0/2000Pro, Novell, Solaris/Linux). Mrs. Lanier managed various servers including NT Domain controllers, DHCP/DNS/WINS, Backup, EMail, RAS, internal routers, and various development servers. Production sites, hosted outside of the organization, were monitored and maintained remotely by Mrs. Lanier and her team 24 X 7. ● Supported over 300 senior staff officers and operational analysis.● Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for all of Air Force XP.● Worked security incidents and violations, provided detailed incident reports and correctional procedures.● Project lead on configuring, installing and integrating 133 laptops with Classified and unclassified removable hard drives.● Performed password integrity checks monthly on user/network passwords
